Maytrix Power Guide
Simple power. Clean installation.
Every Maytrix infinity mirror comes with the power adapter or power supply selected for that piece. In most cases, setup is as simple as connecting the supplied equipment and plugging it into a standard wall outlet.
The included power equipment plugs into a normal wall outlet.
Your mirror is matched with the correct adapter or power supply.
The standard power connection provides approximately 6 feet of total cable length.
Larger mirrors may require more than one power supply.
From the mirror to the wall.
The power connection is designed to be straightforward and planned around your finished piece.
What your space needs.
Plan the outlet location and cable path before mounting so the connection stays clean, accessible, and clear of the mounting hardware.
Ways to create a cleaner finish.
The best method depends on your outlet location, wall construction, mirror placement, and local electrical requirements.
Outlet behind or near the mirror
A properly positioned outlet can keep most of the cable out of view. Confirm that the plug and power supply fit without preventing the mirror from sitting correctly or interfering with the Z-bracket.
- Keep all Z-bracket contact areas clear
- Allow room for the plug and cable bend
- Keep the power supply ventilated and accessible
Paintable surface raceway
A slim cord cover or surface raceway can route the cable neatly to a nearby outlet without opening the wall. It can often be painted to blend with the wall.
- Simple option for finished spaces
- Keeps the cable protected and organized
- Leaves the connection accessible
Recessed or in-wall solution
For the cleanest appearance, a qualified electrician can plan a code-compliant recessed outlet or permanent wiring solution before the mirror is installed.
- Best planned before mounting begins
- Outlet location must avoid the mounting rail
- Power equipment must remain safely serviceable
Architectural concealment
Cables may also be routed behind furniture, millwork, a display wall, or another planned feature, provided the route does not pinch the cable or block ventilation and access.
- Useful for retail and event installations
- Plan access for future maintenance
- Secure loose cable away from traffic
Power questions
Does my mirror plug into a standard wall outlet?
Yes. Maytrix infinity mirrors are normally supplied with the appropriate adapter or power supply for connection to a standard wall outlet. Any special project requirements will be identified with your order.
Is the power adapter or power supply included?
Yes. Each piece includes the power equipment selected for its size and configuration.
Why might my mirror have more than one power supply?
Larger pieces can require more power than a single supply provides. These mirrors may be divided into multiple powered sections and include two or more matched power supplies. The exact quantity is confirmed before production is completed.
How long is the power cable?
The standard connection provides approximately 6 feet of total cable length. If your outlet is farther away, request a longer cable before production so we can plan the correct solution.
Can I use an extension cord?
For temporary testing, use only a properly rated, undamaged cord that meets the power equipment's requirements. For a permanent display, a correctly located outlet or another code-compliant solution planned by a qualified electrician is cleaner and safer.
Can the power supply be hidden behind the mirror?
Only when there is enough clearance, ventilation, and service access and it does not interfere with the Z-bracket or prevent the mirror from sitting correctly. Do not force the adapter into a tight space or leave it loose inside a sealed wall.
Can the cable run inside the wall?
Do not place a standard power cord, plug connection, or adapter inside the wall. Ask a qualified electrician to design a code-compliant in-wall or recessed-outlet solution for your space.
Should I test power before mounting?
Yes. Connect and test the mirror before the final lift whenever possible. Confirm that every powered section lights correctly and that all cable paths and power supplies remain accessible.
What should I send Maytrix when planning power?
Send your order or quote details, a photo or drawing of the wall, the planned mirror location, the outlet location, and the approximate distance from the mirror connection to the outlet.
Need a longer cable or help planning power?
Send us your mirror size, outlet location, and a photo or drawing of the installation area. We can confirm the expected power-supply count and help you plan a clean connection before production.
